BREATHING EXERCISES

Meditation if performed with inner silence and relaxation always brings desired results in more efficient ways but most of us found to be occupied by stress in our body and mind makes that difficult therefore it’s always been considered as indispensable to perform breathing exercises for a long period before you start to perform any meditation technique.

All the breathing exercises revealed at Rahmania Fareedi Spiritual Hub not only help the seeker to attain inner silence and relaxation but is also supportive for many psychological, mental and physical problems.

 

Warning!

“MOUTH BREATHING” in strictly forbidden in any of the breathing exercises because it may leads to throat bleeding or any other complications. Always do “NOSE BREATHING” and never try to do “MOUTH BREATHING” instead. Women must refrain from any of the breathing exercise described here while their menstrual cycles. Patients of heart disease and high blood pressure must consult their physician before performing any of the breathing exercise.

Count & Breath

This exercise should be performed twice daily

Sit in a comfortable position with your spine erect and shoulders relaxed. Now inhale to the count of 3, hold the breath before exhaling to the count of 3 again and then exhale to the count of 3.

Do this several times, and then return to your normal breathing. Gradually increase the counts and lift them up to the count of 10.

Count & Breath 2

This exercise should be performed twice daily

Sit in a comfortable position with your spine erect and shoulders relaxed. Now inhale to the count of 3, hold the breath before exhaling to the count of 5 and then exhale to the count of 6.

Do this several times, and then return to your normal breathing. Gradually increase the counts accordingly.

Alternate Nostril Breathing

This exercise should be performed twice daily

Sit in a comfortable position with your spine erect and shoulders relaxed.

  • Inhale through the left nostril, closing the right with the thumb of your right hand, to the count of 4.
  • Hold the breath, closing left nostril from your right hand thumb and the right nostril from your right hand index finger to the count of eight.
  • Now exhale through the right nostril, closing the left with the index finger of your right hand, to the count of 8.
  • Inhale through the right nostril, keeping the left nostril closed with the index finger of your right hand, to the count of 4.
  • Hold the breath, closing left nostril from your right hand index finger and the right nostril from your right hand thumb to the count of eight.
  • Exhale through the left nostril, keeping the right closed with the thumb of your right hand, to the count of 8.

Complete 9 cycles of alternately breathing, after every exhalation, remember to breathe in from the same nostril from which you exhaled. Keep your eyes closed during the exercise and continue taking long, deep, smooth breaths without any force or effort.

Gradually increase the cycles and counts accordingly.

Breath Of Death

This exercise should be performed twice daily

Famous SUFI MYSTIC breathing exercise with immense benefits.

Sit in a comfortable position with your spine erect and shoulders relaxed.

Now close your eyes and take a very deep breath. Now try to hold the breath as long as you can let’s say for 1 minute.

When no longer able to hold it exhale slowly and then again take a deep breath and hold it as long as you can.

Perform this exercise atleast twice daily and complete 10 cycles of breath of death in each performance also gradually increase your ability to hold the breath as longer as you can.
